If you spent too much on that you'd ruin it, it needs some very sympathetic restoration keeping as much original as possible IMO.

Cheapest buildings insurance quote came in at £225.
Does that seem normal? I've never done one for a whole house before.

I’ll have a look what it is, previous guys put it in

also a money pit at the same time.
Why so?

The hobs look mental. There must be so much potential for knocking over boiling pans with them on a narrow little island.
I can't understand that house, it attracts and repels me at the same time.

That’s amazing.

Seems cheap given the flood risk and area - is that just buildings or + contents?

Thats what I mean, but that would be pricey. Min something becomes specialist ching ching ching

Laying in bed this morning at 6am when the delivery guy rang to say the appliances would be there in half an hour. Mad rush in the car to get over to the house.

That's a great conservatory
(assuming a good clean)Would love to do something like this in the future.

Pretty sure we pay less but may be different amount of cover.

Just buildings.

Thanks - I didn't do the twiddling with the moneysupermarket settings to get it down so think I could get it lower. Also it will be more because we have to pay more for our place!
Not unaffordable anyway.

What, put a clear corrugated plastic roof on your house that has zero chance of keeping any heat in?!
The 'space' is nice but that roof was the one bit I looked at and thought 'well, that needs to go then'. Amazing house though.

Two months since completion of our sale in Camberwell, a house popped up in the town we’re renting in (Enniscrone, Ireland) and we jumped in with an offer ASAP!
Not sure how much quicker/slower the buying process is here but it’s chain free (was a holiday home for a Dubliner), so fingers crossed!

Enniscrone, Ireland
That's looks amazing. I love the nuclear bunker type feeling of those kinds of houses. Which will be useful on the Atlantic Coast!

Yeah they need a steeper pitch on the roof to deal with the wind I believe haha

I can already smell the peat and am immensely jealous.

Obviously, nothing is simple. Fridge freezer turned up with a massive dent.

Enniscrone’s a nice wee place, had a cracking seaweed bath there years ago.

The house we’re buying is 2 doors up from the seaweed baths, on the pier road :)
A lot of potential also a money pit at the same time.
