Heat is fantastic, gets even better with repeated viewing as you know the story and can focus in on the incidental detail, the amazing dialogue etc.

In my top ten for sure. Despite the long running time, it doesn't leave you much respite or room to breathe. There's always something going on, and even if there isn't, there's a tension between characters that's palpable. It reminds me a bit of Ronin, which is another favourite.

Worth adding in Black Hat - not peak Mann but kept me engaged, looks great throughout and at least three great set pieces (none on a par with Heat but if you set the bar more appropriately a couple of top draw shoot outs)
