is there such thing as 'too much sexy' ?

When you're raw and need to go buy some cream?
Anyway, those hip packs look like a decent idea, although I reckon I'll just end up sticking it in a ziplock in a jersey pocket.
-

It’s compact, but probably too big for a jersey pocket?
Unless you wear massive jerseys...People above have been saying it’s small, but it’s not actually small, just compared to DSLRs and full frame.
I mean people consider Leica M cameras to be small, but however nice they are, it’s like carrying a brick of solid brass around.

I mean to get the 20mm f2.8 eventually for a more compact package, but I'm really liking what the 28mm f2 does. It's kind of an overlooked lens but pretty nice for the price and very light. It also puts me equivalently close to my favourite range, about 42mm.

Does the pope fuck bears in the woods? #hippyisfat
I guess I'll find out. I might just find a shoulder strap or something initially or maybe strap a bag of some kind under the aerobars of the road bike. On the gravel bike though I'd prefer to keep it off the bike and either fit it in a pocket or use something like those hip packs or a belt-loop bag.

Yeah, it was purely for compact sizing, nothing to do with what I'm actually taking pics of.

• #2786
Has anyone tried a Ricoh GR in a jersey pocket? I mean I'm sure it will fit, but imagine it might be an annoying size/weight.

I thought on a bike you just go like this

Only a bit more than a large phone, because the lens retracts into the body.
I mean, it only weighs a bit more (257g) than a mountain bike inner tube.I think 250g is about the weight and subsequent size to be 'pocketable'.
X100V is quite a bit bigger and weights 478g.
A6000 weights 413g with the 20mm pancake.

• #2790
Yeah - I agree on the 250g thing, which is why the GR is possibly OK. A phone is super slim though, whereas a GR is 3.5cm. I'm sure it would be fine.

This may be what lead to the demise of a couple of my phones... I've not tried eating a DSLR yet though.

My KOM chances, RUINED! RUINED, I TELL YOU!

I tried a lot of the smaller cameras before plumping for the X100 - the Sony was strongly recommended and reviewed well, but was amazingly hard to hang onto, being small and very slick. I chose the Fuji because I was much less likely to drop it, given the rubberised grips, and the shape of the body itself. The Sony is like a bar of wet soap in comparison, and I could just see it lying on the floor in rather more parts than its designer intended.

Not the A6000 shirley, it has a pretty secure grip in my experience.
-
• #2795
Don’t worry, your downhill KOMs are safe.
-
• #2796
Yeah. It’s not too bad.
But everything that goes into my jersey pockets gets wet. From sweat (sorry for that mental image) or weather or (if it’s in a ziplock or similar) condensation.

I have more hair btw

Camera arrived. With no fucking battery in it. Nice paperweight, shitstick. Let's see where this goes.
