• Congrats, what did you get? What engine? What history have you got? Oil change, filter won't hurt and maybe air filter. Brake fluid replacement and examine the brakes at the same time..Maybe a gearbox oil change and check when the cambelt was last done.

Try and find a garage with the cit/pug obd software and not the generic as you can see what addons are not activated in the software ;)

The dog smell takes a while but sprinkling bicarb and brushing it to the seat and carpet, then vacuuming it out works well.

  • Got the 1.6 petrol multispace desire with 71k miles. No history beyond the mot. Apparently it was just an old guys car to get his dogs to the park (which, while likely to be a bs sorry, the smell helps it check out).

Was going to give the oil/filter change a go myself but it's so fucking cold. Maybe if I do that I can wait for the service until August when it needs to be MOT'd next.

  • Have you got the stuff to do the oil change? If not try national auto care if you have one nearby to see what they charge.

The cambelt is an 80k mile or 10 years (edit 5 years not 10)

  • You might need a special tool to change the oil filter (it's a weird plastic cover).
    What colour did you get?
I have this model, 2005, Mediterranean Blue!
