Seeing Priti Patel speak is like watching that last scene in every episode of the Apprentice where the losing team is trying to argue their way out of getting fired.
Except this is real life and Priti doesn't get fired as she is a useful idiot for someone else. -

Fucking Priti Shithell. I despair

Amazing, stolen...

But I am curious; is this Priti striking out on her own, like she did when she went to Israel during the May era? Or is it a calculated move by party strategists?
The old farts may want to draw attention away from bad news by putting Priti in front of the media – knowing she can take one hell of a beating without flinching or doubting herself. -

Look at the answers for what got them through 2020 for the other humans (some debatable) vs Patel's answer:

Yeah, isn't banging on about the death penalty a signal among tories that a leadership bid's in the offing?
-
• #62960
No idea.
Is it? -

It's always a good way of fostering a following among the membership. First thought was 'Priti Patel? Pffft, never gonna happen', but then look at where we've got to already.

Priti trying to keep up the accent but constantly droppin her Gs is adorable.

DP support highest among white males over 55. A key tory demographic.
-
• #62964
Other way around, isn't it? She tries her best to sound 'approachable to commoners' but then the Gs come back as soon as she's under pressure.
-
• #62965
? I’ve never heard her pronounce a G, wasn’t aware she could do it.
-
• #62966
I thought she dropped her Gs to try to sound posh..... huntin, fishin, shootin ....etc
-
• #62967
No, she just sounds like she’s from Norfolk.
-
• #62968
She says 'you know' a lot but I don't think she is any more affected than Tony Blair was when he started dropping in bits of Estuary English.
-
• #62969
Why is this the death penalty back up for discussion? I thought we sorted this
-
• #62970
Because she's a psychopath who seems to legitimately get pleasure from punishing others.

Because she's a psychopath who seems to legitimately get pleasure from punishing others.
I think she wants her opponents to waste time and energy on something that takes very little from her to make headlines.
Something about the home office that draws genuine sociopaths and puts them in policy positions.

home is shorthand for homicidal.

No death penalty?
Fault of the EU or "lefties", either way cons win.

Yeah, boo to him!
Widespread public support of the death penalty despite the fact that killing is wrong, death penalties cost more than imprisonment and there is no evidence that it acts as a deterrent to serious crime is the perfect demonstration of the fact that the public are morons.
