I did the silver finishing kit thing on my old bikes. A bit of a marmite thing but mostly got compliments!

Yeah it was most likely your blue one that originally put me on to it. Combined with the silver wheels on possibly @jono84 ‘s (?? I think) caad9.

Still don’t think it would look right my black & bare alu frame tho.

Yeah that was my 9, i liked the silver kit but never quite got the look right. Silver is harder to pull of IMO and less forgiving of different finishes.

As above, slammed stem, matching post and stem are a must. Straight toptube on the 5, 8 and 7 also better suited than the hump backed 9.
