As the Shamals aren’t super wide internally compared to other gravel wheels I opted for the 42. Once mounted they look more like a 38/40 to me.
I’ve read good reviews about the tires and I’m not sure why people would replace them from an OTP bike tbh. If however I don’t like them, Rene Herse would be an option to consider.
