Deionised and demineralised is preferable. Lack of minerals is the more important of the 2, so essentially distilled. However cleaning them with deionised is better than not cleaning them.
You can get distilled from a pet shop that deals with tropical fish or some window cleaners.
You can follow some of the recipes. I use 40% rubbing alcohol, 60% water and a few drops of Tergitol and the same of a surfactant whose name I've forgotten. Followed by a rinse with pure water.
I'm joining the Vinyl Cleaning Club this Christmas.
I've only got deionised water rather than distilled water. Is it okay to use still? Or should I really need the distilled one?
