I think what's screwing CDPR is they said "we're sorry we didn't make it run better on PS4 and Xbox One" when those are the only versions you can currently buy.

-

2077: Why would you spend all that time / effort / money in making an awesome game on PC then releasing a shitshow version on console? I get that you need just get it out there and dw in 6 months the patch will sort it out.. but still. Fuckery.

Really enjoyed playing a short hike on my laptop - any other similar games people can recommend?

A throwback to non sandbox RPGs with an amazing storyline.
And lightsabers. -

I tried to play the original again recently on xbox and it hasn't aged well.

Cyberpunk actually reminds me a lot of KOTOR except with less consequences for your actions

Storyline is excellent, just playing through on the ipad.
Not the easiest to control, does need a mouse or controller really.
Would be really good on Switch. -
• #24439
Totally agree the Switch is such a great platform for older games especially if they have quality of life improvements like the Final Fantasys do.
-
• #24440
Yeah, Final Fantasy 7 looks horrendous on big screens, but looks completely fine and very playable on the switch. 3x speed mode hurries up the random encounters no end too.
-
• #24441
man I'd love KOTOR on the switch... basically, just port all good old games to switch please. start with sensible world of soccer

Ok so I'm stuck with only a laptop for a while due to circumstances. Can I please have some recommendations for 1.) Laptop friendly game and 2.) Laptop games with co-op that I can play with friends
-
• #24443
'FTL: Faster Than Light' is a good fun single player game to lose a good few hours too that should work well.
-
• #24444
Co-Op wise If you're going to be in the same place.Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes is great fun. My 7 year old laptop can just about run Overcooked.
TIS-100 is fun and resource light if you're into that kind of thing. Also Slay the Spire/Guild of Dungeoneering

Thanks both, I am planning on playing with a friend in Singapore. He said Divinity is good I may try that, maybe some RTS too
-
• #24446
Another recommendation for FTL, fantastic game but make sure you play it on easy first, and with Advanced Edition enabled.
And your friend is right, Divinity 2 is great if your laptop can run it.
I've been putting some time into Noita recently too, but you'll need a mouse for that.
Papers Please is a fun little game, forked story so plenty of replay value
Kingdom (and the sequels) are alright too -

divinity 1+2 & xcom2

Strategy-wise, Into the Breach was a big one for me on laptop last year. Invisible Inc was good fun too!
If you want something a bit more action-oriented then Heat Signature is immense fun. Lots of toys to play with. Think Hotline Miami in space, with gadgets. Probably sank more time into that than anything else on laptop this year.

FTL was my whole Christmas holiday a few years ago.

It's like Tom Francis got a lfgss account!
But a big yes to all of those. Started playing through Invisible Inc again now that it's on Switch
Took 24 hours for Redemption Island to become a sweatfest... about 50% of the games I die on landing unless I bomb out of the sky and land next to a weapon.
