  • @tbc I can imagine this is a real pain.

    Do you feel you're getting enough out of the smart device to warrant putting it back? Genuine question. I have a wireless thermostat and timer control and that's as much technical as I feel I need in a heating system. I feel there's less to go wrong (although that may be incorrect).

    I'd second what @Howard says, the boiler may well be programmable/ controllable on the unit itself.

  • Probably not, but if it's a free replacement and free installation it's probably worth having.

    When we used to go out more (before child) it was quite good to put the heating on before you got home. And now it's good so you wake up in a warm room.

    But we're definitely not getting the full functionality from it.
