I don’t see why not.
You could either put the threaded end through the hole in the bucket (rubber washers may help it seal, along with the silicone), but you’ll need the right nut to go with it.
Failing that, just put the thin bit through the hole in the bucket, and push the hose as tight as you can then tighten the hose clip.
I reckon the method with the nut + rubber washers would work better. Someone will probably come along and recommend a better suited hose fitting/coupler.
