Do you mean "Greg Siple and his wife June" vs "Greg and June Siple " or June and Greg Siple "? Or am I just missing something more obvious?

Mildly, yes. Still, at least they didn't refer to the lady in question as Mrs Greg Simple.

To be honest, the copy seems to have skipped quality control entirely. 'Making them' is redundant. The second sentence is a mess, and the third repeats the 'catalyst ... for bikepacking' bit.
