I wouldnt write an essay with one, but to keep in my pocket for work stuff (signing for parcels, taking quick notes about configs etc when you only have a wall to press on) it was ideal.
I would probably buy something like a Zebra 2236 if i needed this now, as its so cheap i wouldnt be annoyed to loose it.

I lost two and gave up, the clip shouldnt be removeable imo. shame becuase it was a great pen.
