  • I had a pineapple IPA last night, one of eight different cans from Morrisons. Wouldn't recommend that one.

All the others were nice though /CSB

  • A mate's got one, and has had nothing but good things to say about it; it probably depends on how quickly you can go through a keg, mind.

  • 10 pints in 30 days sounds very achievable. Fortunately they are out of stock everywhere or else I think it would have been a christmas present for me.

  • Oh dear - thirty pints in ten days sounds pretty conservative ... !

  • Ah, 30 days sounds ok! Think some of the stuff I'd seen suggested a week.

  • Even 30 pints in 10 days would be easy to achieve. I probably could polish it off in maybe 4 or 5 days without too much bother.

My name is doubleodavey and I have a problem

  • Tonight I am going to pop the cap on a Camden 2020

  • Kernel can do no wrong

  • This is interesting, barrel aged lager.
You initially get the flavour from the brandy barrels, but leaves a wine aftertaste (another barrel it was aged in)

    Quite impressed actually.
It's a ludicrous 10% abv too, so would be better shared with someone, but DethWife is not a beer fan, and my dog isn't 18, so it's all on me...

    Edit: dangerously easy to drink!

  • The White Hag - Mexican Hot Chocolate Stout is very good.
Dark chocolate flavours with spice and heat.

  • My local beer shop has gotten some American breweries in ... this was delish!

  • Cracked into this after a particularly traumatic bout of DIY plumbing. So far it’s making everything better.

Haven’t really drunk quads or Belgian type stuff since moving from the Netherlands so it’s nice to have something other than pale ale or sour etc

Big round malty sweet boozy flavour. Excellent winter beer.

  • Need to get my hands on this asap.

  • Forgive me if Aldi's value-for-money has been commented on up-thread, but following the ongoing bang-for-your-buck joy of their American IPA (500ml, £1.09, 5.0% ABV) I've recently discovered their Coffee stout. Also 500ml and 5.2% ABV for a mere £1.29. Really rather good. (Not my hand...)

  • .

    Very good with roast chicken.

  • That looks just wonderful.

  • Very drinkable -

  • Just opened a bottle of Adnams Broadside I found in the beer cupboard whilst looking for something to go with my bangers and mash. It really is a cracker - I reckon that like many classics, the fact that you can often get 4 bottles for £6 in a supermarket can cause it to be unjustly overlooked.

  • Love a broadside and I don't think there's a beer that has a more apt name as you definitely feel like you've been broadsided after a couple.
