I know what you mean and I gave them a little tug but no give. I've forgotten how if there was a particular way to do it. They're all Paterson reels.

Yeah the ones with the little grey insert you sort of turn them the wrong direction and they open up. Pretty sure those tanks can do 2x 35mm or 1x120
