That's bad luck... 😬
Watched a woman cutting a corner too sharply in the car park at the posh shops today, the kerb scraped the rocker and rear wheel on her shiny new Lexus... I was doing the peeking through my eyes thing the whole time, it was all in slow motion, absolutely horrible to watch...
The Mum Wagon looks great right now, pic in the car park at my local Dan's doesn't quite do it justice...

Needs a turbo, a 3" lift kit and great big knobblies... But nah, I'll get a HiLux next... ☺️
They're a dime a dozen here and generally driven by mums and nannas... 🤣

A car that suggest you're a sex tiger with a massive cock... Too busy dealing with the fruits of your loins to be bothering with fastwankermobiles

I've just checked tax, mot and insurance. It's described as a VW Beetle Allegro. That explains the bandy back wheels. There's a VW bus on the drive.

Working on the focus again, wonder if I should just do the PCV pipe and check the thermostat housing...which will mean draining the coolant...so might as well do the water pump.....or at least check for play in the water pump...
What would you do?

I've absolutely no idea. I'd just picked up a bike in New Haw, Addlestone and spotted it. I just took a photo when parked up opposite.

Being a beetle, most likely air.
Just like the idea of the possibility of of an adapted hydra system.

stock?? funny way of spelling 'shit' :D
@Constable_Savage If it is registered VW Beetle Allegro they may have made the kit car using the Beetle chassis and running gear, easy to lower by reconfiguring the splined spring set up.
But Allegro of all things they were nicknamed 'All Aggro' for a reason :) -

i used to get a lift to work in a mates old Allegro back in the day.
the ride was bouncier than on the old metropolitan underground line rolling stock.
he loved that car which was completely 'stock'

Stop/start started working again on tbt way home from Swinley, which is interesting.
I’m taking the car for a thorough inspection and written report on Wednesday- £183, but I think we’ll spent.
Harratts, the dealer I bought from, has refused to fund any further diagnostics or work to rectify the stop/start, which makes it pretty binary- either I read the report and decide to keep the car, or I reject it and Harratts can come and get it and refund my money. As they won’t countenance any further work it’s going to have to be the punchy option.

Have you read the manual?
Stop start is a gamble on all cars in winter weather. There’s so many conditions that would stop it from working.
I would say 99.9% that it’s behaving normally.

If DDR tell me that everything is optimal then I'll take their word for it. These cars have two batteries, I'm wondering if the auxiliary is feeling a bit poorly - or as you say, maybe it's a case of 'they all do that sir'.

These are the conditions for the 2019 E class stop / start:
the ECO start/stop function is switched on.
the brake system does not require a running engine.
the outside temperature and atmospheric air pressure is within the range that is suitable for the system.
the engine is at normal operating temperature.
no engine diagnosis are active.
the engine speed is within the range that is suitable for the system.
the transmission oil temperature is within the range that is suitable for the system.
the temperature in the vehicle interior is within the set range.
the fuel tank is sufficiently filled.
the system detects that there is no moisture on the windscreen when the air conditioning system is switched on.
the charge level and the voltage of the battery are sufficient.
the battery temperature is within the range that is suitable for the system.
the system does not recognise a steep uphill or downhill gradient.
the bonnet is closed.
AIR BODY CONTROL does not raise the level. You’re literally wasting your money.

Totally agree.. My s/s was intermittent this afternoon..
No such problems with the ev though!
On the subject of wheel nuts and tightening. A heads up to anyone with security bolts, some require much lower torques.
My neighbour had his Ford totally fucked as the tyre place did them up too tight.
