  • What happened to it?

  • Long time lurker here with too many watches . Been meaning to move a couple on . Anyone fancy a good deal on a barely used Junghans telemeter ? I am an omega fanboy and bought this as I always liked the omega 33.3 chrono.

  • Mega bargain, paging @Stonehedge

  • Had some movement issues straight out of the box. Felt gritty and hard to wind.

  • Beautiful watch and outstanding price but I am on a strict no watches rule at the moment. Just can't afford to spend anything on luxuries for the time being. Has not been a good year for business.

Somebody please snap this up and then sell it to me in a few months!

  • Let me know if anyone fancies any other photos . Had a few enquiries, but still here .

  • Richard Mille is the personal sponsor bringing Cav over to Quickstep. Tidy profits in ugly watches!

  • So, I got the watch (BB58) back from warranty repair Monday and I don’t think it’s right. Winding feels smooth at first, but then there’s a significant resistance not many winds in. The blue version I had, even when it was fully wound it would just make a little, gentle “click” (clutch mechanism I assume) when fully wound. However, it was still super smooth with no resistance. This one feels completely different. It’s also running at around +7s per day and COSC should be between -2/+4.
So, what would you do? Am I too picky? I’m thinking just enjoy it and see what happens but then again I have that thought at the back of my head, that somethings wrong and I can’t fully enjoy it. It’s just not ideal having bought the watch 2 months ago, and worn it it for maybe 1h total.
Sorry about the rant, but there it is...

  • If it’s wrong it’s wrong, take it back in.

  • It is really that simple, isn’t it? Thanks

  • It’s also running at around +7s per day and COSC should be between -2/+4.

Not sure where the -2/+4 is from but these are the figures for COSC chrono certification

The final test figure is taken as an average of 5 different positions (with a max variance of 5 or 7 seconds between positions) at three different temperatures IIRC.

  • It is really that simple, isn’t it? Thanks

It is. Customer is always right on this one. If it doesn't feel right its up to them to convince you otherwise.

  • I think this (-2/+6) is for the older in house movement, the new, smaller one for BB58 is supposed to be -2/+4. I’ve read it somewhere where they compared it to Rolex which is -2/+2 saying that every guaranteed second means a lot more investment.

  • Also, when I was picking it up the lady said “best to keep the receipts if there’s any problems with the accuracy of anything else”.
    Jinxed it I reckon.

  • Refund it and buy an Omega !!

  • I was hoping for a replacement. Do you think a refund is possible?

  • Legally " only if repair or replacement:

    is not possible
would be too expensive, given the nature of the product/defect
would be very inconvenient for the customer
cannot be completed by your business within a reasonable time"

However they might for goodwill purposes

  • Where did it come from ?

  • Purchased in London at David Duggan but now I’m dealing with it locally in the Chichester AD.

@leggy_blonde it still has stickers on. I’ve worn it maybe for 1h total (had it nearly 2 months).

  • It’s highly unlikely the local AD will replace or refund a watch bought elsewhere .
David Duggan is your only chance of that happening.
But if we had a watch back twice in two months I would exchange it if that’s what the client wanted.
