In October, we lost our beloved honey Labrador Retriever (only 9 years). So sad.
Now I am looking to one puppy but apparently wherever I am looking it cost a kidney (2K£ Plus)....
Is anyone aware of alternative in the West Midlands or as many forumers in London?
I frequently check on dog trust and similar website but anything come up... and our idea is to have max 1 year old to start basic training asapThanks for any tips via PM or here

Yeah he's an awesome little dude and seems to have a similar level of boisterousness play to Odie. Although Odie clearly feels the need to establish dominance over him so they frequently descend into growling and oh-so ferocious baring of fangs (terrifying!), followed by licking of each others faces and general cuteness.

Barking dogs in tv shows are becoming my own personal wilhelm scream. hear them in everything.
Can't watch anything these days without some completely unnecessary inclusion of dogs barking in the background which sets Benny off like a lunatic because he's too dumb to realise they're not in the room.
the fucking bbc even put one in their looped graphic that shows between some shows.

I never used it personally so cant vouch for the set-up, but dogsblog seems like an aggregate site for loads of dog rehoming orgs, you can search via locations etc.

Crumpet is the same! Goes fucking mental when she hears a good barking on TV. That and confusing reflections are pretty much the only things she barks at.

Am i misremebering that you enquired about calm and low energy breeds on here before going with Benny?

Crumpet just spewed up a turd she ate on the living room rug. Free dog going if you can collect.

I was going to to say crumpet looks like a really cool dog. The regurgitated turd must smell horrendous. How's the rug? How's the adoption people been with support? Sorry not been following the thread so you may have already said.
Here's a film that I quite enjoyed, it's been streamed free on vimeo after get dropped by Netflix. One big monologue basically.

Otto has done that with cat shit he has eaten out of the litter tray. Cat shit vomit is a powerful smell.

Vinnie’s done that on the in-laws’ posh rug in the front room. Partner’s mum had to leave the room to hide her emotions. She didn’t do that very well. Anyway, ours was sheep shit. He was off the lead and ate a lot (fuckload) of it before he came back to us. Joy.

Our lab spends his life trying to eat as much different shit as he possibly can, and living on a farm it is like a buffet for him, on a daily basis I have to stop him eating cow, cat, deer, rabbit, fox and badger shit.

Odie is pretty bad with his morning shit. I have to be there with high value treats as soon as he’s done it or he’s eating it. Filthy bastard.

It wasn't great. Luckily my girlfriend's stomach is far stronger than mine or there might have been 2 piles to clean up... the rug actually came off surprisingly unscathed! Other than that Crumpet is a lovely dog, settling in amazingly.
Underdog have been great actually, can't recommend them enough. They've been checking in regularly and have a couple of volunteer behaviourists on hand in case we find Crumpet is struggling with anything. That video doesn't seem to work for me!

Is this a grindcore band?

Ha. My Mum tried so hard to be supportive and kind when Otto did it on her new stair carpet (cream).

Say hello to our 9 week 1 day old Havanese, Miss Pickles. She's settling in really well, especially if you count biting hands and noses.

Sounds appealing this dog re-homing lark!
Anyone got experience with a dog ‘mouthing’? We’ve done a couple of walking sessions with said mutt and next session is to witness/ experience the above.
-
• #2172
What do you mean by mouthing? Just being a bit bitey?
Odie has always been a bit of a mouther. When he was a small puppy and had needle teeth, my hands were a mess! He’s gradually just got better and now (8months) doesn’t really do it much at all. -

Apparently a bit bitey yes. He’s 5 now and regressed back to the behaviour after 2 returns to the kennels. Problem being he’s a Staffordshire Bull terrier and very lively!

Crumpet seems cool man, interesting to hear about underdog. Wierd that video isn't working you could try googling 'my dog tulip vimeo' that should do it. It's a pretty pedestrian film and thinking about it there's quite a bit of barking in it so hopefully that doesn't trigger crumpet! I enjoyed its pace anyhow. A chilled watch.

Oh I've worked it out, it works if you click the link, it just won't embed here! Crumpet gets confused and shouty if she hears dogs on the telly so might not go down too well, ha ha.
Scampi! Extremely cute. No apology required for the crocs, own it.
