Always a v60 over an aeropress for filter for me. The aeropress is good but you get a much better range of flavours from a v60 imo. You could get a chemex/woodneck with a cloth filter to avoid paper but I think the cleaning is a bit of a faff.
I think I like the pour over better as it's a bit more chill. Can you get decent results without a stupid kettle?
I just use a normal kettle, as long has you don't have the wrist strength of Mr Burns you should be more than able to pour slowly enough.
Yeah, normal boring kettle for me.
