  • Wildcard.. slightly over budget but near PP levels of finish and an interesting movement..

    Edit.. didn't see diver criteria!

  • Thanks. I confess I’m trying the Planet Ocean mainly to discount it - I can’t see a watch that tall suiting me! I’ve been wearing a Speedmaster Reduced for 30 years so perhaps I just need to get past having a 38mm case on my wrist and go for the Seamaster!

  • It sounds like you've done your research but what I will add is that don't discount wider watches!

Its often the lug to lug and thickness that affects the wearability of a watch on a small wrist...and not just the width of the case.

  • 300 is awesome piece of kit .

  • 2nd pretty much all of this!

I found the Planet Ocean felt massive on the wrist compared to the Seamaster - the Seamaster bracelet is really comfortable and the watch fits under shirts easily (not the case for many dive watches).

I know the Tudors are popular on here but I thought the Omega beat them easily on finish quality and the little details that make it feel more special.

The new ones look great & I'm quite envious of them (mine is the model before).

  • Yeah, the 300 is a cracking watch. @Señor_Bear has a particularly nice one. He also has a BB58 and a Pelagos so can probably tell you which is nicer to live with.

  • bb58 and GMT in the window at Preston's Guildford

  • Like Willy Wonka Bars... :o)

  • As others have said it will be the lug to lug measurement that matters most. The PO 39.5 has a remarkably small L2L - i think just below 45mm - so will wear well better than you think on smaller wrists. The seamaster 300 has I think a 50mm L2L so will wear much, much bigger.

I think my wrists might be similar size to yours (maybe bit bigger) - here's the 39.5 PO when I tried it on if it helps...

[now adding photo - something went wrong before...]

  • Ok, maybe the PO is more of a contender than I thought. I just need to try them all on. Dealer said he didn’t have any BB58s left (waiting list of 40 people) so a trip to Guildford may be in order!

  • Not that I have looked recently but Chisholm Hunter
Kingston had the Tudor range in also before it all went to shit...

  • Chisholm Hunter is prob worth a try - I’m going to Ernest Jones just opposite them in Kingston anyway. Mappin &Webb didn’t have any so I didn’t bother phoning CH to ask

  • If you were near Oxfordshire then I have a blue P.O. 39.7 and practically every variant of seamaster 300 in stock ( including the no time to die )
All at fff prices ( forum friends and family )

  • Hmmm tempting. I’m in Kingston though and don’t drive so getting to Oxfordshire might be a faff. Let me consult Mrs F (who does drive...)

  • Leaked images looking good.. new bracelet, stepped dial, don bezel (dont really care about it) thinner as well.
i'm in the market for one but i will hold until the new one is announced to see the price difference.

Any idea when its coming out?

  • New watch for G Shock Thursday

  • Thanks wow fair enough that’s looking great 👍

  • From January apparently.
And gonna be £5k plus again apparently .

  • They went DON… gotta justify that price hike I guess.

  • Its a win win for me, if i have the cash i could go for this one, if not the price of the old one will probably drop

  • The logos… why did they make them so much bigger… Seems like they always have to mess one thing up.

    Bracelet looks great.

  • Side by side for humourous reasons.
    GX56 and a DW5600
