Just bloody buy it, you know you are going to! Modern rim brakes are (probably) as good as ancient cantis, either way it pays to anticipate your stopping on a tandem. Just lose the godawful Gatorskins.

I’ve only been looking for two hours!

Could be good though. I’d prefer some wild 90s paint and a more modern groupset but by the looks of things on eBay this is pretty up to date. I guess they get modern components when they’re bought by the likes of us and fiddled with.

I'm also keeping an eye out. Not sure whether to go fixed (probs not), oversized tubing (probs, for hills) MTB (could be fun) and then the rim disc or canti (we are both fairly light)- current eBay crop is pretty poor. Happy to help collection my way if it helps
