cheers, I bought it to replace the hole that selling my EL roberts and Gazelle track left...
Not got any build plans as yet, was considering tout mavic for a laugh, starfish crank, either a mavic stem or an ergo stem, mavic track hubs, grey rims, gumwalls, pink benotto tape... dunno... depends what pops up at an affordable price over winter... -

That‘s pretty much a Peugeot livery:
Don’t get me wrong it’s a nice colour scheme but imo it would be better suited for an 80s or modern steel frame. -

Yes both a fair points- agreed
it's not in period for the frame and it is basically the retro Peugeot colours. I could easily go for the something more lively with fades & starburst etc. I had a good search for Grandis and not many inspiring paint jobs from them! Let's see ... -

I think we've spoken before about Mavic gear, as you know I have a decent amount of it. Give me a message if you need anything. Would love to see this built up with my favourite parts too!

Sweet frame, I have a Max road frame already though... And a Roberts track. Mattyc's is the perfect mixture of both!

Cheers, I'm chuffed to have landed it - as with my last Roberts it popped up while I wasn't looking for anything and I was fortunate enough to have a hiding place ready.
If you have any Mavic track hubs or starfish cranks you'd part with then that would be great
Seems I'm basically looking at building this as @Sig_Arlecchino built his Cyfac - https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/310220/?offset=125
This is the last build thread for the frame - https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/316828/?offset=75 from @SideshowBob

57-60cm please! -
• #1191
Why not a Dutch 57C-C Sirocco. Columbus Lugs, engravings, carved plug in dropouts and a Dura Ace on top
-
• #1192
Don't forget the wannabe Colnago paint
-
• #1193
I would do ... but got a full campag groupset and wheels , so only really in the market for Italian . But annoying really seeing as I’m so tall it’s hard to come by the perfect frame 😕
-
• #1194
If I was in the market for a 54-56cm Id have no problem , oh well , I’ll keep looking.... although saying that brick lane have some .... but a bit £££

Check German ebay kleinanzeigen from time to time. Max frames regularely pop up for prices far below those of BLB.

63 Van Tuyl, price is quite okay, very pretty state. Tiny dent on the fork!

Nice but potential money pit, the chrome on the nds seatstay doesn’t look great (might be the photo). The Sirocco further up the page would probably make better financial sense.
there's another roberts on ebay right now in max - nice but pricey
