  • Really?

It's a lot of reading and not much gamey game beyond "find this NPC's backstory and collect loads of worthless loot that you can't sell"

    Each to their own.

  • The setting puts me in mind of Borderlands, which is an unfortunate comparison.

I think it's trying to be serious-ish but also a bit jokey, which is hard to pull off if you're half-expecting Borderlands. The po-faced "bad corporations and meaningful choices but they're all bad" attitude sits uneasily with the comedy too.

It keeps throwing loot at me but doesn't work as well as a loot shooter (comparing stats is harder and there are so many of them).

I mean, I'll still finish it.

  • it's probably an ace game if exposition dumps and lore delivered in the always enjoyable medium of "the data pad" are your bag.

not for me. i lack the patience.

The thing that drove me mad about The Division. Every 2 weeks there'd be a system wide nerf. Then more guns with more stats and more loot. Unless you were a dedicated agent, you were fucked cause you'd never have the right stuff or if you did finally get it, it would shortly be nerfed.

I fucking loved that game though. Wish I could get a team of friends together for it. Seems only I liked it 😂
