I don't remember any of it, which I'm thankful for. :-D

I know you don't mean that.

I thought Flinty Badman was pretty grippy.
I mean, apart from the section where I crashed. -
• #18806
Ha. Well at least I managed not to crash. Hope it was more a roll around in the leaves than a wrap around a tree moment.

• #18807
More a slide out into comfortable leaves, yeah. :-D

Just bought a Scandal... not too impressed with the stock tyres. Is there a forum recommended UK winter tyre? usage will be bombing round my local woods & bridleways, with plenty of mud. thanks

Ride Wye Valley/FoD last Sunday around Staunton
Hadn’t ridden there in over a decade. Really impressed with the trails (if not my fitness). Certainly head there again soon and definitely when the ground has dried out a bit.

Rogate back open weekend after this one - anyone fancy it?

Yep

Have you got a suitable bike or would you like me to bring both of mine so you could use one?
(Not the jump bike).

The Stooge should be capable, whether I am is another question. If you don't mind bringing an extra bike it certainly would be entertaining to try something modern.

FFS. 2 weeks after purchase and having only been posted Thursday - it’s not a 165 x 38 as advertised. Lucky I pulled my current shocks listing pending receipt of this!
eBay is great.
Just had somebody complain because the used tyre they bought from me had traces of sealant and I should have stated that the used tubeless tyre had indeed been used tubeless apparently 🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️

I've just stripped the anodising off a stem then polished it. Was done as a practice run to check my anodising removal process worked as expected before I strip and polish a set of cranks on my mtb.
Does anyone here want the stem?
Its a raceface 60mm length and for 35mm diameter bars. £25 posted

Have we had this yet? Nice wee film.

What's the process? I've a few old stems I'd quite like to do that to.

Thanks, I enjoyed that!
That time is phenomenal. I rode the WHW in 2004 and even over 4-5 days it was tough going
The Loch Lomond hike a bike section is really really awful. Like 10,000 opportunities to break your ankle

Coming down the whw in the ht550 was a nightmare, so many walkers. Perhaps while they're kept away is the perfect time

Its all very high tech stuff.... caustic soda/oven cleaner
The only full on mud tyres I've had were the Panaracer Trailraker. They were great for Epping slop, but that was when I lived right next to the forest. I'd hate to have ridden them on anything other than mud
