Ha, yeah it's about enjoying the trip. Which also means getting a. Morning ferry which usually takes up the whole morning of one day. Early Eurotunnel + longer days and we could do it in 2. But that makes things unpleasant. But my family is from venice/the dolomites (near Falcade) so it is a fair journey even if you take every toll road

Never done it in a day from London. Often drive to Italy and it takes 3 days, first day we don't usually get close to the alps so it would be a long day. Think for this we would get euro tunnel instead of the ferry tho
I'm not flying anymore in Europe though so it's either that or a covid infested train....
