It does in that it was a gift for my 35th Birthday from my girlfriend.
She was told it was freshly serviced, saw photos on movement etc. Seller was very helpful apparently.
That being said I really hope that she didn't get ripped off and if it needs to be returned and a refund requested I feel like that may be the best option. It was purchased from an online vintage watch seller with what looks to be good reviews.

It's up to you - it's a lovely watch and you might indeed have a newly serviced watch with a problem, in which case notify the seller asap. It's also possible it hasn't been recently serviced in which case... notify the seller asap.
You'll need to get the caseback off if you want to check yourself, or take it to a good repairer and ask them to tell you.
It needs a proper service , budget £300 and you might have change. Don't wind it until then. The crown looks replaced maybe. Does it have sentimental value?
