I totally agree. But you can only tell so much from the photos. I will have more ''insight'' when I get to try them.

I feel that if you like the midsized brushed oyster thing then OP or a 36 mm Explorer is the way unless you really, really want the date and cyclops. The DJ is much showier, it kind of needs to have the jubilee and (to an extent) the fluted bezel to be a Datejust. If you’re going to Datejust, especially a modern one, you kind of need to own it. Vintage ones that aren’t so aggressively shiny are a lot easier to dress down but you don’t get the fit and finish of the modern ones.
