So what’s going on with the London housing market? I’m in Reigate and we had our house up for sale last year but Brexit held things up, so we pulled it off and stayed here.
My mother’s house is now for sale (In Reigate) as she died and my father wants the house sold as he lives in Devon. The house is a fantastic 1930s detached place In a close with large terraced garden 2 drive ways, 11 m Long carport and single garage. 1 mile walk to Redhill and Reigate stations all for under 800k. Very close to the m25, Surrey hills so quite marvellous. Too much for us to consider but if your wanting to get out of London and need to commute Reigate is hard to beat. -

Yes the skate park is popular! Good green spaces, plenty of mountain biking Fab old pubs, great schools. It was The place to be in the 80s and 90s as a teenager (400 under age drinkers at the Skimington castle On a Friday and Saturday night ! )
My Australian wife is more than happy to be here after 22 years away from NSW. -

Is the Embassy still around?
-
• #38386
Nope, it recently got pulled down to build flats. Just being completed now. I had a few evenings there from 90 to 95, Maybe it was the Millionaires club then.

Bit of a crazy left field idea I know but you could go ride a bike.
Sorry, sheer lunacy, don’t know what I’m thinking.

Thought that but the cycle to Mitcham might be a bit much. Could always train it to East Croydon

@VintageJon do you have property details? Our buying focus has been London, but given the overpriced ballache that’s turning out to be maybe we’d consider a rural leap.

can anyone give me a rough idea what 3 days labour for two builders would cost ?
i'm trying to price up a bit of work and want to get a general idea of what they might charge, so i can see if i'm being fleeced or not
yup - we did our viewings too (better that way, you know everything about the property, what's been done where etc). gets tiresome eventually but whatever, all about maximising those reddies... pain in the arse keeping everything immaculate for two weeks tho : /
