Same kinda person that would tell anyone willing to hear it that the country has gone to hell when they're living abroad. The good old "shit like that didn't happen during apartheid" excuse has been heard too many times.

Yep, usually I avoid discussing politics at all with him but it was slightly unavoidable today. He does have a slightly more nuanced view on SA than some, but eeeesh... we don't see eye to eye...
