So, Lopez it is. Have to admit I had no clue he was so good.

I watched it this morning - I thought Loma might've taken it on points before the fight but I was really impressed with how Lopez managed the fight, took it away in the early rounds and managed to rally at the end to bring it home. Looks like the real deal.

Usyk is going to be difficult to beat for the top heavyweights, but he doesn't seem to have the power to stop a fight early. I thought Chisora acquitted himself well; made it to the 12th, though wasn't getting many hard punches on target. I thought he won one of the later rounds.

Povetkin - Whyte pushed back till 30th Jan because Povetkin tested positive... David Hayes wants to put Chisora up as replacement, Hearn suggesting Fury!

Povetkin tested positive
Again?! Then i realise you meant Covid
-

Chisora is a pretty tough cookie, so possibly not the best judge of how much power Usk will carry up.
That said it’s a big size difference to most of the top guys. -

Connor Benn did ok last night, but still doesn't have much of a defence.

Always worth watching some of Tyson's best
-
• #1460
Who do people consider Tyson’s best win?
The older I’ve got the less impressive he seems.I recall listening to Tyson vs Bruno, on my old Sony Walkman, on a school coach, heading to an airport.
-
• #1461
Tyson Frazier is pretty brutal and his reaction after in the ring is pretty scary, its the clip that the ESPN classic boxing raw and uncut use on the titles.
My money is on Dubois for tomorrow although I am not a gambling man.
-
• #1462
Gee the Tyson Jones weigh in is a tough watch!
I think Dubois should win comfortably.
-
• #1463
Yep, Dubois would beat either of them comfortably. Against Joyce, I believe and hope you're right, but at least it should give him proper competition. We're a bit short of good heavyweights at the moment, we only appear to be producing potentially great ones.
-
• #1464
Joyce hasn't got much of a punch, but he's got a good chin, and has more experience at this level than Dubois. Dubois did well against Gorman, and since then he's been matched against nobodies. We'll see if he's got the energy in the latter rounds.
-
• #1465
Joyce eh
-
• #1466
But what about tonights big event, the Tyson vs Jones Jr farce. With a bloody youtuber on the main card.
Still, weirdly curious to watch the HL tomorrow...
-
• #1467
Just caught up. Tyson/RJJ was kinda sad to watch but also hats off to them for being in that shape in their fifties.
Jake Paul needs to stop fighting non-Boxers now
-
• #1468
Anyone have a full length Joyce vs Dubois, is it worth watching?
-
• #1469
Not really
I think Dubois did the smart thing in taking a knee, I know it’s seen as quitting but he’s a young guy and that eye looked fucked. Joyce looked effective and think fighting Usyk would be a good matchup given his size and reach
-
• #1470
I hate the whole quitting debate.
Saw L.Smith getting involved in it, forgetting he was rolling on the floor for the ending of the Canelo fight, presumably. If it’s an orbital issue seems like it’s not the sort of injury you can ever really overcome.
-
• #1471
Imagine getting punched with a broken orbital. Fuck that to infinity. Seen a few people throw in the towel with the same injury. Absolutely no shame in that. But there's always going to be the "Just bleed" types that want to see someone die in the ring before quitting based on some absurd notion of toughness or whatever.

• #1472
Dubois looked beat at the end of the fourth, the odd flurry in the later rounds but by the end he was walking into that jab.
How on earth did that youtuber fight get licensed. Awful.

How on earth did that youtuber fight get licensed. Awful.
Imagine being a pro NBA player and getting sparked out by a youtuber. An absolute circus.
-
• #1474
If you are concerned by the licensing and or match making of the youtubers you’ve been very sheltered from the reality of boxing.

Mike Tyson back on that Rogan podcast. He's gone from being an overweight, grey-bearded, stoner, to something a lot leaner and meaner.
