    Start with a regular fork blade, calculate how stiff it is, reduce the requirement based on the shorter length,smaller load & twice as many elements, et voila, you have a desired moment of inertia from which you can reverse engineer a solid rectangular beam.

    A back of the fag packet calculation suggests that deflection will be roughly equal to a Reynolds 631 29er Unicrown if the trailer forks are made from ⅞" wide and ⅜" thick steel. If your stockholder is Quebecois, 20mm×10mm will do the job too.
