Seems surprising the ten year is almost identical, is that due to high fees on the two year?
As others have said, are you planning to stay in that property for ten years? General consensus from various brokers I've spoken to seems to be that porting can be a bit of a ballache.

Oh ffs. That's a nightmare.

This might be of some use, if you haven't already tried it.

Permanent move.
I'm asserting and maintaining my EU residency rights before the end of December.Plus it's a big house with a big garden in a beautiful area we paid for outright, which given my lack of earnings this year, is something nice and (woodworm aside) solid.
I wish I spoke French better than I do, but I will improve.

Interestingly links to Rightmove don’t work on my iPhone- always sends me to the general search page.

It's the # at the end. Not sure why they're there

Link works, forum not mangling it... Rightmove website has some strange redirects and desktop browsers understand it but some mobile ones don't apparently... but it's Rightmove that have an issue.

My girlfriend also has this issue. Seems to be an iphone (or possibly safari) issue as links work on Android or desktop.

Hmm - seems the forum is mangling it somehow, putting a dash in too after the first number.
The forum does this to the text version of any and every link. It adds some non-printable breaking characters to ensure long URLs wrap on smaller screens.
This completely breaks simple copy and pasting of anything but really short URLs and that, along with the automatic URL rewrite and redirect via the microcosm.app link shortener (with no preview option or opt out) it's a definite anti-pattern.

Ah, that'd explain why I get a bonus hypen on the phone but not the desktop, and mangled URLs when copying the text.
-
• #38188
Rightmove is utterly borked if you have any sort of referrer obfuscation too.

I've also found this weird given how big Velocio generally is on openness and security. Having no idea what the link you're clicking on is seems to go against that.

@nankatsu @aggi cheers, yes it must be because of the early repayment and transferring fees associated. I guess while the idea of a guaranteed low rate for almost half the term is appealing, it does rely on other shit not changing, and given the state of flux of everything right now, and the fact I'm an FTB, means some flexibility might come in useful.
Any Ealing builder recommendations anyone?

I’ve viewed that place. It’s been on the market for ages.

What did you think of it Andy?

Our buyer has decided to use his money to buy a house in the middle nowhere instead of staying in London. Really great timing 3 months later mate.

The sale of my other flat has been going on for so long now that I kind of don't want to sell it any more. We don't need the money for our plan b house now we've sacked off subsidence valley.
