Is there a handy how-to guide on the biro spring method anywhere? Don’t want to tape and retake the bars if I get it wrong.
Had thought about getting a j-tek double to single cable pull thingy but seems like an expensive faff when there’s no real reason to be able to brake from either lever

Signalling, water bottle, GPS, etc.

I think there is much more specific guidance on how to avoid the faff of biro springs, revolving around variations on a theme of rubber band. I don't have Campag levers, so I'm not sure which variant would work best. My 464 is wired for but not with a JTek, but in spite of Ed's reasoning I haven't felt compelled to fill in the blank yet.

I saw some stoker hoods somewhere once - just a hood without a lever, think they were Cane Creek and would match their brake levers. Struck me as a neat solution if I had a frame without a rear calliper mount.

Also expensive, nothing removing the blade and Sugru can sort it out.

Fuck me. Who stuck a spoke up your arse?

leaving the blade and a rubber band can sort it out

A brake! :)
Yep, like a responsible adult.
Is the purpleBob still in use? like @StevePeel says - a classic winter bike.
Good to see Feather on here again - a gold standard for timeless road fixed -

For sure, Purplebob is my default ride. Never going to be the best riding or handling bike but it does what it needs to and I’m really quite fond of it now.
I will bring the Feather out again properly in spring, I’m glad I held onto it now, it’s unique. Just wish I had somewhere to park it - the cycle storage where the Bob lives has seen a few thefts.

Keep it in your flat. It might not be ideal, but as bikes-on-the-wall go it's actually one that is going to look OK.

Especially as it’s light and small (compare to the Bob that is).

Yeah, it's the only way, and that's what I used to do with all my bikes. Unfortunately with two kids around and my wife working from home it's pretty challenging. In our old place we were able to have three bikes hanging above the stairwell but that's not an option. That's why I was looking to sell it, as much as I love it, it's just been parked in storage not being ridden.

High up with Cycloc Hero or equivalent? Worked well for me as it tends to be an unused volume of a room. Hope you find a suitable solution.

Cycloc Hero
Hadn't seen these - thank you. Our walls are covered in either shelves or artworks/frames so something would have to give, but that is a pretty neat solution.

Getting there, seatpost is taking ages to get here.
Let see how it is, otherwise I’ll just get the new Genesis Flyer for a lots less, clearance is tight on the back with 32mm.

Thought I’d throw this one up, was running flat bars for quite a while, switched to some drops and this is the result.

Now that look awesome, look more like a proper fixed road.

you have cut the steerer prematurely

Shame the Allez Sprint track frames are expensive and hard to find.
Drilled fork and bottle cage mounts are pretty useful and rare on a track oriented frame. -

That looks really good! Don't you have a spare seat post to chuck in their temporarily to give it a test ride?
Levers like SRAM and campag doesn’t have spring as only the shift paddle itself have them.
