Not that I can see, the Modolo’s are either on Silver 26.0 or Black 31.8. I’ve ordered a Modolo Q-Race 11 to go with them as the Eclypse is cracked, so at least it’ll be easy to put the bars in this time!
I’ve not seen any 25.4 compact bars anywhere by anyone (apart from the Decathlon bars mentioned on the previous page).

Alternatively, does anyone have Shimano 600ax stem in 26.0 they'd like to swap for a 25.4 clamp one?
-
• #529
Not sure if its been discussed earlier but why are the nitto m106NAS twice the price of m109aa both are compact and 26.0?
-
• #530
I think it's the alloy used and/or the heat treatment. M106 are really stiff.

I found Nitto x Fairweather Mod 174 compact 25.4 bars on the Tokyobike website - 60 squid tho

they are indeed

So what's the difference, apart from a fiver, between Nitto M151F and Nitto M109AA?
@doug1e you chose the 151F - any reason? Likewise your choice of 109 @Fox

2mm reach. The M106 is worth considering too, they have a nicer finish.
M151 will definitely be a good match for your older Campa shifters . -

Awesome, finally a 25.4 compact bar that's available in the EU! Thanks for the tip!

Likewise your choice of 109
Was raved about on here, nice shape, you can buy them from hubjub. But yeah come have a look.

I still have the 42cm pair of black 26.0 109's (Nitto M109AA) that I bought by accident. Fitted once then removed when I realised they weren't 40cm, then bought a 40cm pair.
One small scratch on the inside of the upper part of the drops where I wasn't quite careful enough doing that which nobody will see anyway (see attached pic).
Anyone want them? £40.50 posted from Hubjub, say £25 posted from me in the box/packaging they came in?

I wanted the most compact I could find in silver but think it was mainly just availability in my size at the time from a UK site. The reach is 2mm shorter supposedly. The M151F has a banded clamping area with a pantograph style engraving looks really classic. As I've mentioned before I was also considering the Dajia Cycleworks which is more compact but in hindsight I wouldnt have fit it through my stem! https://www.velovitality.co.uk/collections/handlebars-1/products/nitto-m151f-compact-drops

Thanks for the 411. I've given up on skinny bars now - just remembered Zipp so a silver flat topped road bar

Are you going down the quill adapter route? If so i've got a BBB steerer extender you can have for a fiver, they seem to be the cleanest option.
-
• #544
Yeah that was the plan. I saw that but thought it wasn't the same as a quill adapter. Is it this thing?
So I just shim what's poking out and out a normal stem on?
-
• #545
Yeah unless you're importing a nitto one they all seem to have a shoulder on them apart from that one, so gives you the option of slamming your stem, or adjust the amount of spacers to match your shim + spacers.

Decathlon 25.4 compact drops: approved.

How wide are they? Looking good. Bars seem to be tilted down a smitch?
-
• #549
These are 400 mm c-c. The 420 mm wides have more reach and drop unfortunately, otherwise I'd have went with those.
You might be right, still need to fine-tune the setup. :)
Oh, and of course they were a pita to get through the one-bolt stem. -
• #550
They look ace (as does bike) - were sold out when I was in buyer mode - ponied up for nitto m151Fs and a 26 stem in the end - ho hum.
Do 25.4 compact bars exist? I'd quite like to use a 25.4 stem on a neo-retro build, and would like a similar shape bar to the Bontrager VR-C/Spotter bars I have already
