Fustle Causeway. Perhaps a bit over budget.

Merlin has a Kinesis Tripster AT with Apex 1 for a bit over that

Decathlon’s offerings?
-
• #13580
With nothing to compare them with, really, I guess they did what they were supposed to. No flats over 700+ km of some pretty rough terrain (and maybe 300-400k of road). Dry use only - not really enough clearance to try these on my frame in mud.

Sadly my scheme is with cycle 2 work (halfords), but does cover indepentents. So no decathlon.

Actually I think the staff are right maybe. This pic shows some D3s clearly did have routing through the fork at some point in time.
Interestingly this is not on all (any?) D3s currently for sale new.
The ‘X’ (1x, 650b, more off-road version) definitely does have this routing.

Just get an Arkose.
If you can find one.

• #13585
I see, thanks. Anyone else used them during wet season?

Feb March 2021.
Optimistic.
Can’t recommend you an Arkose, mainly cause it’s sold out too.

Any decent suggestions for alternative?
I've not price checked these or checked if they are available at c2w stores..

Fugio 10 it is on the basis I have tried a large and liked it. How the fuck do I get one now...
Alu ☑️
650b + 700 ☑️
Above my allowance by 99 quid tho :/ -

It’s steel dude.
-
• #13590
Why the fuck would you wanna go long on chains. Given the spot price on them it seems pointless.
-
• #13591
Why not? I've not done the maths yet and almost certainly won't be spending £1000 on chains, I just like the idea of saving money and packaging with bulk buys. I'd never thought about chain spools instead of stupid plastic containers of chains.
It's about 25 quid per 118 chain and I cut off a link. Then you have joining links which are reusable to an extent.

Betterer.

Nope it’s Alu

The Fugio is UK-based Genesis Bikes’ adventure-gravel platform. The company just announced its 2021 lineup, including two steel models, the Fugio 20 and 30. There is also a more affordable alloy version, the Fugio 10.
https://bikepacking.com/news/2021-genesis-fugio/
The Fugio 10 trades steel for an aluminium frameset, keeping the grin on your face and cash in your wallet.

Even better! Good to know they released one in alu.

Also pete why do my trp use a fucking 6mm spanner for bleed port?!?
-
• #13599
Dunno. I think my Slates and Quadiems both need different size spanners
Still, they don't need several days with a pro mechanic to bleed, so that's nice...

• #13600
Wtf is that about?! Manual says use 7mm spanner. Its not. Its fucking 6mm.
Mt400 use an allen key 👌🏽
@hippy how do you find the 50mm GKs. Have you ridden them in wet/muddy conditions?
