A lot of the southern parts of the route were badly damaged in the recent storms, so not sure how rideable it is at the moment, nor when it will be.

Good knowledge! Wasn’t for anything in the near future. As you seem knowledgeable, do you know of any similar routes? Mixed terrain, nice scenery, decent hills etc.
