Public shout out to @r.hobbs who recently gave my ageing pink Brompton a full service and some updated parts. He had a box with me the day after I first contacted him, organised collection and delivery and turned it all around in great time including wheel builds.

Wider bars are an absolute game changer and I have just spent the afternoon pootling around town on it in the rain, grinning like an absolute loon. Thanks Ryan!

Unscrew a bit, put old Allen keys in and watch it as hard as you can with a hammer

For those with Brompton; be very careful and keep it secure, there have been a huge increase in stolen Brompton (especially as customer coming in to try and order replacement).

Not even slightly. Have soaked in penetrating fluid but I think I might have to take it to a shop

Sorry to take ages to reply, the prices of second hand bromptons have rocketed so reasonable/fair are very subjective.

Have you tried an impact driver? Tried heating the allen key while in the bolt.

What fluid did you use?

This, probably whack it one like you hate it.
