  • At least you’re a motivated seller, I really need a cull but I’m such a filthy hoarder.

  • The sloping bezel is a great sporty touch and I like the two larger sub dials and the subtle date- it’s really well proportioned compared to the Speedy reduced.
I’m not about to sell my Professional though ;)

  • I tend to sell anything I don’t wear regularly and therefore I only have 3 watches (one of which is sentimental). I do buy and sell quite a bit though, searching for the perfect one :-)
Visiting eBay and watch forums makes it difficult to be content though.

  • Oh, and it cost me half what a speedy pro goes for...

  • I only have 3 watches

    2 SBGX261s and...?

  • Only 1 SBGX as the other ones for sale - doesn’t count :-)
SPB143 and my dads first watch - Poljot with alarm.

  • What didn’t click with the BB58?

  • Too chunky... I didn’t wear it enough. And I fancy BB36 or a Tudor Prince like this:

  • New watch. Very pleased.

  • Solid looking piece With super legible dial .
Being readable easily is something that is not always found ... I like that

  • Ta! It is nice and clear. I wanted something like a G10 but loads tougher, with lume, and waterproof. I stupidly missed the cheap bracelet version deal earlier this year but wangled 25% off this one so not too bad.

  • I quite fancy an Explorer still, I will admit.

  • Thats nice. Which model is this?

  • BN0118-04E aka the Ray Mears reissue.

  • Who on here had the SPB Seiko gaining 30 seconds per day?
I've worn my SPB for a week now and it's within 1s per day when worn but then at night it can randomly gain 10-15s. I've tried different positions - crown up, crown down, flat, sideways and it only makes tiny difference. The watch still runs really fast. But then when I wear it it is literally +0.5-0.7spd which is incredible.

  • Me and yes it seems to be a bit random like that. I’m going to wear it all next week and see what it does.

  • My experience with those kind of Seiko movements suggests they run fast if left dial up and slower if left crown up.

  • Yes! Please report back.

  • Interesting, thanks.

@pawg will do. What’s your GS like in comparison?

  • Yes, mine gains at least 10s overnight regardless of the position. About 14s dial up, about 10s crown up. I wonder if this is something they do on purpose...

  • The GS is a quartz. No comparison :-)
Manufacturer says within 10s per year but it's more like 2-3s per year in reality. Quite remarkable I think.

  • Thanks. I love the look of it.

  • Dropped my wife’s Tag for a service under warranty. Advised that will get in back early February. When I expressed surprise I was told “because Christmas” - clearly I should have got in in earlier to avoid Festive Tag Servicing Delay.

Hopefully it’s a case of under promise, overperform.....

  • Yeah. High accuracy quartz ftw. I’m not in the market right now, but if I was, I’d buy your GS in a heartbeat. I miss my SBGR053 or whatever the reference was...
