Just started a free "green your home" course with https://selce.org.uk - 1 session in but they're being recorded I think. Might have some info on ASHP. They don't seem to mind if you live southeast or not.
As I understand it though, ASHP gives out low heat so there's no point installing it until your house has very good thermal conservation (insulation and air tightness).

Anyone replaced their boiler with an air source heat pump? Apparently there are some systems where you can keep your existing radiators so less disruptive to install.
