Ritchey Evo Max is 12deg flare, but barely any angle on hoods. I've found it so much more comfortable than previous non flared drops.

I have these. Nice enough bars, but they have practically no flare to speak of. Or maybe I just don't notice 12 degrees of flare.

Cowbell and +2cm on your road handlebar width, end of story.

Cheers, I'll let you know but I've got the grrl's old 46cm bars here already and I think they're too wide for me.

I don't use a handlebar bag. Even with the extra width, the aerobars and light(s) get in the way. Having easier access to feed bags would be nice as would having a flats position that didn't involve bent wrists or jamming my hands under the aerobar pads. I'm almost certainly gonna go 42cm and I reckon Cowbell you guys suggested, since it's the less crazy flare.

I'm pretty adaptable (hence not even noticing the 2-3cm difference in shifter height for err, I dunno how long) but I like the idea of starting with less insane hand positions.
My current bars are 31.8 all the way around too so they're fat all over (like their owner) which makes the tape fit under the hoods better and probably gives better load spread when riding behind the hoods, which I often do.

The salsa handlebar have a generous 31.8 section for stuff like aerobatic, but doesn’t sound like it’s as generous as your existing bar.

• #13361
I met a generous aerobatic at a bar once, we we're up, down and all over the place, really lifted me tbh.
-
• #13362
I don't know what aerobatic is, and at this point I'm too afraid to ask.

Finding one second hand seems impossible. Mind you the others haven’t proven very fruitful either

• #13372
How big a tyres clearance you’re looking for?
-
• #13373
Well the Bokeh can take 45mm 700c
