I'm pretty adaptable (hence not even noticing the 2-3cm difference in shifter height for err, I dunno how long) but I like the idea of starting with less insane hand positions.
My current bars are 31.8 all the way around too so they're fat all over (like their owner) which makes the tape fit under the hoods better and probably gives better load spread when riding behind the hoods, which I often do.

Slightly bigger flare at 16 degrees, slightly more drop and longer reach.
@hippy here’s a shot of a 46cm cowbell with GRX, should give you an ideas, 12 degrees flare is subtle but welcome on the drop.
