• Most headset bearings have a 36° chamfer on the inner race as that's the TH/FSA and Cane Creek way.

Ugh, really? I have a Cane Creek 40 IS52 lower for which it has been impossible for me to determine the chamfer angle. It’s for an OPEN U-TURN fork with a 45 degree integrated crown race, unlikely to work then?

If you already have it, you can measure the angle. It's only going to be a choice of two, so if the corner of a piece of paper fits with line contact on both sides its 45° and if it doesn't then it's 36° 🙂

Clever, couldn't figure out a way to measure it and the model number gave no definite answer. Thanks!
