@gbj_tester @coventry_eagle I appreciate the help from you both.
After a lot of emailing, @Cupcakes extensive headset “standards” knowledge and the help of a local bike shop, I have worked out that a Cane Creek should fit the bill.
For reference, integrated crown races with a 36 degree angle are not compatible with Hope, Chris King, Phil, White Industries.
Perhaps there is a sound engineering/business reason behind Salsas choice of crown race, but from a customer perspective this is mildly confusing, especially when headset manufacturers don’t list the bearing angles on their websites.
Anyway, I can build the bike, life goes on, the world continues to spin etc.

Perhaps there is a sound engineering/business reason
The business reason for 36°/45° is market share, as previously stated.
The engineering reason I'm not sure about, but it may be that in the case of a 1⅛ bearing with 5/32" balls or a 1" bearing with 1/8" balls, the normal reaction between balls and races is more or less orthogonal to the mounting cone when the tangential contacts intersect at centre of rotation.
In that case, the business reason for 45°/45° is fuck engineering, the accounts department only wants to buy one angle block
Distance selling applies still.

@hollow__legs check if there's a return policy on the invoice/receipt they sent you, otherwise you'll have 12 months to return it.
