With all that said, he still had an FTP of 450w (!!) - 4.88w/kg - at age 46.
Maybe one for the expert on the doping thread, but am I correct in understanding that EPO doesnt transform mediocre athletes into TdF winners, but gives top cyclists an edge (which may be cancelled out if everyone else if on EPO)?
