Me too.
Its not my style. I grew up skateboarding and used to be fond of stickers and the aesthetic that the bike comes from. But today I’m kind of over it. But what i really do like is how this aesthetically challenges the hegemony of pro bike racing aesthetics, or sports aesthetics in general. To me its a fun leap.
I do get that its nothing new in the context of tHis forum, but ragher something old. But its fun that its a pro team. Trickle up aesthetics, if you will. But then there’s also the back side being monetizing on subculture. But whatever. It’s so intertwined with consumerism so who cares. Thats a whole other discussion.
