I love it but I’ve been gently encouraged to part with it owing to artistic differences..
Is that like "My wife said it was her or the bikes. I'm gonna miss her"?

I couldn’t possibly comment

I’ve not had time to clean the metal finish on top, but it will come up really well with a gentle scourer.
Noooo! Don't scour it, you'll scratch it! Autosol or similar and a cotton cloth.
Great toaster, GLWS.

You can get replacement baffles if needed.

Very tempted by this as our toaster is on it's last legs. How averse to posting are you?

I would be seriously questioning the taste of the other decision-maker in this process.

Artistic differences: Yeah. They can be annoying. When the time r g ets st i ck y for example (although, replacements are ~tenner on t’internet).
I bought the same model in polished metal in the early nineties, just before they changed the angled body to a rounded one. I really loved having it around the place. Is it a good toaster? Not particularly. Has it been sitting unused in a cupboard for twenty years? Yes. Would I pay fifty notes for this one? Probably. GLWS. -

Best toast going. I know a couple of friends of mine which I thought were terminal snobs expending so much on a toaster, but you know what they're right. Money well spent!

Have a bump for an incredibly easy to service toaster

Currently in discussion with my wife, who has final say on these matters :-)

Cool. I’ve got a special cleaning product arriving tomorrow that I’ll use on it if that helps swing it!
Anyone into this vintage beauty? I love it but I’ve been gently encouraged to part with it owing to artistic differences..
I bought this a few years ago and had it fully serviced and rewired by Dualit. It’s a lovely toaster and easily serviceable - parts are cheap and easy to source online.

£50 to a good home?
Collection from SE8 or I can drop off locally. Shipping at cost.
Cheers,
Tom
