Ha, I don't have all the details I'm afraid as the Architects handled it all.
Heres a render of it face on though, the wall mounted cabinets were bespoke which I don't have any info on.Fun fact: The plywood surrounding the patio doors joins up with the fridge and continues along the worktop and connects with the entrance to the room which is also framed in oak veneered ply.

When I had my small extension done at the back of the house I used 3 large roof windows measuring 78*118cm. I could have used a continuous bit of glass/lantern but I lucked out and managed to get these three roof windows for a very good price (about £100 each including the flashing off eBay which was v v cheap) and what sealed the deal for me was the ease of cleaning stuff like bird shit off, just stand on a chair, flip the window and give them a wipe.

Cheers buddy, at one point the worktop was going to be orange too but we decided that may have been a bit tooooo much.
This was one of our "final references".

small mortgage steps. Ecology approved our application, pending valuation (of the current building: loan towards renovation / conversion.) They also said it may be quicker if we organise our own valuation. Can anyone recommend someone for the valuation (I guess it's a survey?) thnx!

Snap on the doors - except ours have central cutouts on cupboards and drawers. And we have lime green highlights.

If anyone is looking for conveyancing solicitors I have some suggestions as I've just gone through a process of talking to a load of them.

Is anyone else having a shocker with getting local searches back at the moment? We originally put our request in on the 27th August with the original return date of the 7th Oct. They have now been kicked back to the 26th Oct. Seem mental these can take so long. Had a look on the Hackney website and they said they had a technical outage. Is anyone else having issues?

Searches for my Bow flat took forever, like 8 weeks.

What are people's thoughts on using an estate agent's (Dexters) recommended conveyancer? I like the idea that there will be a good line of communication between all the parties, especially in a chain. Any major downsides or horror stories, aside from potentially higher costs?

Ha, awesome.

Any upside from a connection with the EA is an illusion.
If they are cost competitive and don't sound awful on the phone then do some more research and see what other people say about them. It is likely they will be a 'farm' type operation but that's not a bad thing in itself although it might be a crap shoot on who will be assigned to your work. And if it is a farm, be aware that any online reviews apply to a specific person who handled a case, not the organisation as a whole, so the value of the review becomes very low.

Not worth it - I'd seek independent conveyancing

A bit distant, but the laminated ply ones in the first pic are the new section, green ones in the second pic are repainted / refurbished from the original 60's kitchen. The brick is what used to be the external wall.
Kitchen plans please - the full height cupboards are doing it for me.
