Who the hell buys that volume in 6 packs, surely a couple of 24 packs would be better value. Gutted I didn't manage to get a bidet in time for the second wave.

I suspect its cause there was a minimum value order... SOOO they just made it up in more packs.

There are all kinds of problems in using it for this purpose. I can think of several ways for malicious parties to abuse it, for one.

Pub we went to on Sunday had QR codes all over the place. None of them worked on mine or my wife phone. When we went to bar they asked if we had scan the QR code. Told them it didn't work' which they said that no one else had reported an issue. The the two people behind said they could get it to work. Which makes me wonder how many people just told them yeah we scan the QR code.

Without the bar monitoring it how would they know?

This is probably more for the "I hate" thread but I fucking despise QR codes. Eeeeevrything here involves QR codes. Covid-related, we have to (or used to anyway, not so much now) show green codes to be allowed into buildings, which is fine in your own city where you're all set up. But every province has their own code, and they're not connected or on the same platform. I was flying to another province recently and they asked me for my code, so I showed the code of where I live and was told no, it needs to be the other code - which you can only get by entering tons of details including the subdistrict of the hotel I was staying in (impossible to find, so they just said "put whatever", negating the point of the whole thing). Anyway, as obviously I was still 3 hours flight away from Hainan, I hadn't come into contact with anyone there, sick or otherwise, so I got a green code. Some provinces don't actually allow foreigners to register for codes so everyone just shows a screenshot of a code they got from a mate. It's all really stupid and a charade of "safety".

Printed a load today to be displayed in restaurants in the lakes. They look complete bollox.

Now I think about it, there's a reasonable chance that the endemically incompetent parent company that bought out our consultancy provides the numpties who delivered that shit QR code implementation. They are involved in the project.

i really feel sorry for any kids that age atm the freedom to party do daft shit meet and other people is getting reduced. thinking back to all the warehouse party's, raves, house party's, clubs daft pubs that turned in to clubs after hours i used to go to, all would be taken away. kids will find away to party and i don't blame them tbh.

They're in 90% of restaurants here. The other 10% use disposable menus. I can't say I care in honesty. The part I don't like/get is when there are several QR codes, one for food, another for wine, another for dessert etc.

Kids will find a way. And that's to be applauded and expected. They'll work out how to meet and do daft shit in groups of 6 (no more) and be connected to bigger groups. Probably involving drugs.

The postcode has nothing to do with how it tracks or traces your contact with potential COVID cases. It's just there to warn you of the potential local threat and provide advice.

Yeah, but they're not surrounded by middle class dicks harshing their buzz and laughing at Jonty's fucking japes when all you're trying to do is hit the sweet point of being both in and out of existence.
