my girlfriend just spoke to the builders of our block as we have a 2 year warranty and some spot lights have stopped working, she also brought up the EWS1 form. The person she spoke to said we don't need one as the building is not a High Rise Residential Building despite being 6 stories and she sent a follow up email saying the same. Am I right in thinking this is bullshit cos they don't want to pay for the EWS1 and associated works? My gf is going to talk to her mortgage adviser and also the estate agent from Nested to see if they've encounted this before but who would really know?
