The PS5 will have a spare PCIe slot for you to add another NVMe SSD. You'd probably also be able to add a new drive via USB but you'd lose a lot of the performance benefits.
Proprietary memory was always an annoyance, glad they made the PS3/4 HDD normal and let anyone change it without voiding a warranty.
Will this be the case for PS5? i vaguely remember some patents for plug and play expansion ports, wasa that nonsense?
